I have an amazing interview for you today. You will be hearing from Caitlin Spencer (Twitter handle @MsCaitSpencer, which is NOT her real name, it’s a made up name to protect her identity. She’s the author of Sunday Times best seller Please Let Me Go, she’s a respected speaker in the House of Lords in the UK, she’s a fierce advocate for victims of human trafficking and Caitlin herself is a harrowing survivor of human trafficking that has engulfed roughly 20 years of her life. Did I mention, she was diagnosed with HIV this year as well. Yep. This woman is truly remarkable and has been to hell and back. We can all learn from her examples of strength.

More storytimes from my time at Risky Business strip club in Sacramento, Ca. (95-96). I was 25 years old, omg, it was literally 25 years ago now! That makes me feel soooo old! My guest today has quite a story when it comes to HIV discrimination because his discrimination came directly from his employer, the United States military . Ken Pinkela has been fighting this battle for over 10 years and is still, to this day, continuing to fight for his innocence. So much was stripped from this man who gave his heart and soul to the job he loved so dearly. You'll love Ken, he’s one of the kindest humans I know and I’m beyond honored to have him on my podcast to share his unforgettable story.

My guests today are Ashley and Jim, Ashley is HIV+, Jim is not. They share their disclosure story with us explaining how Jim actually felt relief that Ashley's big confession was HIV. Yes, relief! For those who don't live with HIV, it's not the virus that's difficult, not even the medication, it's the stigma surrounding the virus and disclosing to potential partners. Give it up for Ashley and Jim! Woot woot!
